Rabbit, an AI startup, recently launched the Rabbit R1 Pocket AI at CES 2024. Priced at $199 (16,500 rupees) and currently available only in the USA, this small gadget aims to be a smartphone alternative.
With 10,000 units sold during pre-orders, its 2.88-inch LCD, 2.3 GHz MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage make it promising. The unique rotating camera serves as both a selfie and back camera simultaneously. About half the size of a flip phone, the Rabbit R1 Pocket AI features a scroll wheel for easy navigation. Despite its compact size, it boasts a full 1-day battery life.

The device runs on RabbitOS, an advanced operating system, and utilizes a large action model. While it may not replace smartphones, it will be used as a helpful assistant. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on its availability in India.
