Samsung is set to launch first ever AI Laptop

Samsung is working hard on the world’s first ‘AI Laptop’. If everything goes well, on December 15, Samsung is set to launch an artificial intelligence-based laptop, called the Galaxy Book 4. Among the important features, the laptop includes Intel’s new Meteor Lake processor, which will launch on December 14. The laptop is supposed to be launched the very next day. Meanwhile, Samsung’s competitors LG and HP are also working on their AI laptops. They will be powered by Intel’s new Core Ultra chipset. From that point of view, it is clear that the competition started even before the artificial intelligence-based laptop came to the market.

According to the report, Samsung is planning to put the neural processing unit in this new laptop, which will be in the new Intel chip. There will also be Samsung’s large language model. The LLM or Large Language Model is called Samsung Gauss, which will help the laptop to perform various tasks related to artificial intelligence.

The Intel Meteor Lake processor will feature a Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which can handle various AI functions without any network connection. The NPU of the new Intel processor will be paired with a language model called Samsung Gauss. As a result, the processor will be able to provide fast processing speed as well as mature security.

Meanwhile, last month Samsung showcased its Gauss AI voice model at an event in South Korea. It is believed that this voice model will be used in the company’s flagship S24 smartphone series. Probably, the long-awaited flagship S24 smartphone series could be launched in January of the new year.

The new Meteor Lake CPUs are set to replace the i-series branding of Intel processors, including the new Core Ultra branding. The previous generation of the upcoming AI laptop including Galaxy Book 3 was powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. The new Galaxy Book 4 laptop may have the Core Ultra 7 155H chipset instead. Apart from this, the high-end version of this laptop can be provided with a Core Ultra 9 185H processor.
